Web Site Appraisals
A lot of businesses have a web site but are not happy with the return on their investment. All to often, we are asked to look at web sites where they are not working for them and it is so clear to see that the web site is built by the web site design company just for the look to gain the agreement of their client so that they get paid. We would rather give you an honest appraisal of your existing web site and explain in non technical terms why your web site is not working for you and also help you to turn it around so that it starts to work how you had originally hoped. Search Engine Optimisation
If we were given a £1 every time we were asked "how do I get on page one of Google", then we would be rich and would no longer need to work. Sadly, this is not the case so we then look at the web site concerned and start the process of doing a web site appraisal. Once this is complete then we often start the process of web site optimisation. Getting your web site listed with the search engines is not all down to your web designer nor is it down to the way it looks but it is down to a partnership between you and your designer or web site optimisation advisor. Not all web sites are going to get onto page one of Google without spending bucket loads of money as you may well be up against a very competitive market and very large businesses who already have large well established web sites. Domain Name Registration
Registering a name is a simple process and they can be ordered from thousands of places on the Internet. The biggest problem we have with regards to domain names that clients have purchased via a third party who was acting as their agent, but sadly registered themselves as the owner of the domain instead of you, the client. This is a very risky situation as if they go out of business this can cause no end of problems such as a loss of emails, a loss of your web site and and large amount of time in trying to sort the problem out. Sadly, if you are not the legal owner of the domain, just because it's your companies trading name or just because you pay for it does not mean you own it. Hosting your domain name opens the window to a whole multitude of services such ashelping to improving the success of your search engine optimisation efforts, the management of junk emails, web mail facility, unlimited email accounts and plenty more issues that all add up to the important issue of your online presence.

Broadband provisioning & installation
We always try to give a personal service and this means that we try to explain what you need to order and also the process that will be followed and how long this will take. Everybody is worried about going online and ordering the wrong thing as mistakes are often very costly so we try to work with you to assure you that the equipment / servide that you are ordering will fulfill your broadband needs. There is no additional fee charged to you for ordering your broadband connection online direct with the service provider rather than through us but if you go through us then you will not only receive some useful advice but also after sales service as well. Not bad for nothing (the broadband service provider pays us a very, very small fee).

Junk Email (SPAM) filtering
Over 90% of all emails received are junk emails and this takes a huge amount of time to keep deleting those unwanted emails let alone the frustration of deleting an important email by mistake... argh! Don't worry, we have all done that one so you're not alone. Nowadays, there is a very simple, effective way of stopping those emails even getting as far as your inbox because they are intercepted whilst they are floating around the Internet from server to server. It is a very clever process but basically as emails fly around the Internet they are given a score based on a number of factors and if your email gets a score higher than the level set by you (or you can use the default setting if you wish and it is recommended to start with) then it will be trapped by the filter. If somebody is a known sender of junk emails then they will get a high score plus if the content contains certain phrases or words etc then this will all add to the SPAM score and if it is high enough then it doesn't get delivered to you. On the rare occasion good emails can get trapped but this is not a problem as you have access to a very easy to use customer control panel which will show you a list of all the emails stopped by the filter and if you want to release any of them then all you do is click a couple of buttons and job done :). Email filtering for small / medium sized businesses will cost around £2 per email address per month (there is no charge for generic email address such as sales@, info@ etc so long as there is at least one named email address on that account).
